The Story of cotton started 2300 years ago in my town. There were 4 ancient cities. Hierapolis, leodekia, collosea and Aphrodisias. They gave a start to textile here. Rome Empire, Byzantum Empire, The Seljuk Empire and Ottoman Empire ruled in turn. All of their publics produced fabrics and peshtemals here. They all ended but story of cotton continues traditionally...
we still weave same as we have been taught by our ancestors. We dont make as much money as Lycos Valley publics and Ottoman public do but we are happy to do and continue...
